The weather conditions were not ideal but the Khaos Krew persevered and set up the booth at the Children’s Home & Aid Taking Steps to End Child Abuse 5K. The Krew got to Fairview Park at 8:30 and began setting up the table and tent. With the winds being so strong for the first hour of the event, even though several members of the Krew had to stand and hold the tent to ensure it wouldn’t even though it was staked down.
Our Race Director, Nick Moran, was asked to do an interview with 107.7 TheBull radio station to discuss what 5Khaos represents and the charities it benefits. Before the race began, we jumped in to help release the green and blue balloons with the participants to show our support. As the rain began to come down, that didn’t stop anyone from running or walking to show that the weather will not hold them back. They will continue taking those steps to end child abuse by completing the 5K. At the end of the day, we helped spread the word of 5Khaos and showed our support for a great cause.
